Battle Chasers: Nightwar is an American made JPRG and dungeon-crawler, based on the best-selling Battle Chasers comic series by Joe Maduriera and inspired by JPRG greats such as Final Fantasy, Suikoden, Chrono Trigger, and Phantasy Star. It was developed by Airship Syndicate, funded through Kickstarter and published by THQ Nordic. The game features beautiful environments; a gorgeously animated strategic turn-based combat system; and hand-crafted dungeon rooms which are randomly arranged for a different experience each time. Players will battle enemies, find secrets, solve puzzles and explore the world.

Story

Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a turn-based role-playing game based on Joe Madureira's fantasy comic series. It follows a band of heroes, including the young Gully searching for her missing father, the brooding swordsman Garrison, the gentle war golem Calibretto, the roguish Red Monika, and the wisecracking old mage Knolan. When their airship is shot down over a mysterious island, the group is stranded among the countless treasure-seekers and villains drawn there by a vast source of magical mana. To find a way home, the heroes must brave monster-filled dungeons and confront the sinister sorceress Destra and her schemes.
